Katsu's Speech at English Seiwajuku

Katsu made a speech at English Seiwajuku.
He talked about his management experiences for 27 years as a president of Katsu NY and also how we conducts our seminars based on philosophy for 10 years.
Katsu received many questions regarding how he opened the door for US market and build up human relationship with customers.
He looked more relaxed to speak in English rather than in Japanese.

Thank you for this opportunity.

123rd KNY Monthly Seminar “Efforts to be a 5-star textile company in New York”

Our 123rd Monthly Seminar covered the topic of “Effort” from the book “A Passion for success”, written by Dr. Inamori Kazuo.

Our focus for this seminar was to understand how to become a 5-star textile company in New York, using real-life examples from multiple industries, and defining what kind of effort they have put in in order to be considered a 5-star business.

One of the challenges for putting this seminar together, was to understand what a 5-star business is from our President's perspective. Another challenge was that we all have easy access to a large amount of information daily, and these information can have positive and negative aspects. It was difficult to sort out the information and figure out a perfect example of a company that can be relevant for our business and tie into our daily practice.

Through this seminar, I have learned that the concepts from Dr. Inamori’s book, can be applied to different examples of successful businesses. It made me realize what we have been learning through his philosophy and these business tips can be used in different industries, in different cultures, worldwide. These are universal concepts that seem simplistic, but actually has a lot more depth into it.

It was a great opportunity to facilitate the topic of effort this month, because we were able to define what we are currently missing, and at the same time overcome them by setting our goals for our next year of 2016.
From this meeting, we had opportunity to create our goals before the year ends, so we can put our efforts on the right track.

Dr. Kazuo Inamori’s Philosophy Seminar, Seiwajyuku Hawaii Event
I had got the opportunity to speak about my management experiences in front of Dr. Inamori and 350 business owners from USA, Japan, China, Korea, and Vietnam.

While I was preparing for the speech over 60 hours, I found out many important points on what I had been missing on my management. These findings will be very powerful reminders to upgrade our company, Katsu New York to be FIVE STAR TEXTILE COMPANY IN NEW YORK.

On this event in Hawaii, we had chance to bring our executives, Chikako Hanaoka, Suga Shiohira and Aummy Ninkamhang. We could deeply learned “WHY WE WORK” and also, the meaning of “TRUE HOSPITALITY”. Which are “DO IT EXTREME!” “DON’T TAKE EASY WAY, ALWAYS TAKE RIGHT WAY based on SynZenBe spirit!!

Big appreciation.

Osaka prefecture, Senba-Tekijyuku 5th Annual event “Textile Day”
I was asked to speak for the people in textile industry in Osaka area based on
“How Japanese textile companies can start business with US designers or retailers.”

Speech was about Voice of customers in NY, 3 levels of approaches, the strength of Japanese companies.
It was 90 minutes speech with Chikako and Suga.

We realized that what kind of new added value Katsu New York would need to be equipped by hearing from Japanese textile professional’s subconscious minds.

We were honored to be there with people from Japanese textile industry, because they supported my growth in last over 33 years.

Very thankful to Osaka pref. Senba-Tekijyuku and Kansai Fashion association and special thanks to Dr. Kenichi Kondo (executive of Taishobo).
