Gigi joined us as an
intern in August for 3 months. She was born in New York but her family and culture
are from Ecuador. So, she grew up in Ecuador and graduated as a fashion
designer from Azuay University there. Her hometown, Cuenca, is the third
largest city in Ecuador, and listed as UNESCO World Heritage Trust.
Why
do you want to work at KNY: I am passionate about textiles and
the company model of KNY with a strong philosophy based on the wellness of
customers and employees, which approaches a lot to the model business I would
like to carry on in the future in Ecuador, so I have a lot to learn in here.
What
is your goal for this internship: To learn about the
structure or model of a textiles company, and how does business from other
culture take place in different markets.
What
is your goal in 3 years: To learn more about sustainable
management with a MSC in Sustainable Management and Environmental Policies, and
to collaborate with companies with different focus and points of view, by that
way I could begin a prototype of my own business.
