第120回社内セミナー / The 120th seminor

毎月恒例の社内セミナーを開催しました。
10年前から始めたこのセミナーも今回で120回目を迎えました。

10周年記念のセミナーのテーマは「NO.1サプライヤーになるために必要なこと」
稲盛塾長の経営の原点12か条に沿って、1人1人熱のこもったプレゼンを行い、各自それぞれ自分を見つめなおす良い機会となりました。

河崎による創業27年と自身の半生を振り返るプレゼンにも一同感動。
27年という歴史の中には様々な事がありましたが、同時にたくさん方々とのご縁によってここまで成長することができ、改めて深く感謝した次第です。

冷やし中華のランチタイムのあとはセミナー振り返り。
現在Katsu New Yorkではタイ、エクアドル、アメリカ、香港、日本と様々な国にバックグラウンドを持つ社員がいます。
文化が違う我々社員をひとつにしてくれているものが稲盛塾長の哲学であると強く感じるセミナーでした。

セミナーのあとは、「FAT CAT」にて常日頃お世話になっているHOPES（インターン）感謝会を開催、
ビリヤード＆卓球大会に大いに盛り上がりました。
仕事も遊びもド真剣に。これがKatsu New York社員の元気の秘訣です。

Today we had our 120th seminar, its a huge milestone since we started company seminars 10 years ago. 

Since it was an important anniversary, the theme was  "How do I become a No.1 supplier to my customers?"
Every employee gave a passionate presentation, using 12 key management principles by Dr. Inamori.

Katsu also gave a presentation about his life and our company history.
In 27 years, there were times of lows and highs, but we grew up thanks to everyone we met.

After the lunch, Hiyashi-chuka (Japanese cold ramen), we reflected on the seminar.
Now we have various employees, who are from Thailand, Ecuador, Hong Kong, the U.S. and Japan.
We have different cultures but we agree on what is right as human beings because of the philosophy we have been learning.

After, we went to Fat Cat in the West Village to express appreciation for HOPES (Interns). We enjoyed playing pool and ping pong.
Having fun and working hard. That's our trick for energy.

渡辺有紗さんプレゼンテーション/ Arisa's presentation

渡辺パイル織物株式会社でご活躍されている渡辺有紗さんが、自社商品のプレゼンテーションをしてくださいました。

有紗さんは、HOPES（インターン）のメンバーとして頑張っているFumiのお姉様で、今回２週間の予定で弊社インターンとしてお越し下さいました。

今治といえば高品質のタオルとして有名ですが、渡辺パイル織物株式会社はタオルだけにとどまらず、国内外のアパレルブランド向けにも綿織物を生産されています。

オーガニックコットンや草木染めを利用した様々な製品は肌触りが良く社員からも大好評。

常に新しいことに挑戦される姿勢に大変刺激を受けました。

Arisa Watanabe form Wtanabe-Pile gave us a presentation about their mills products.

Watanabe-Pile is a towel company in Imabari, Ehime prefecture.

Arisa is Fumi's sister and she will be staying in New York for 2 weeks and getting a boot camp version of Katsu New York Academy.

Imabari is famous for high quality towels and Watanabe Pile, produces not only towels and but also garment textiles. 

They use organic cotton and natural dye, which give the products a softer hand feel and beautiful colors. 

We inspired by their effort to challenge new markets.

The KNY Academy, a new intern Fumio Watanabe from Ehime,Japan

Where are you from:
A) I'm from Imabari city, Ehime prefecture in Japan. Imabari is famous for producing towels and navel industory.

Why do you want to work at KNY: 
A) I'm interested in textiles and learning about U.S. market because my father operates a towel company. Also I really wanted to work with Katsu-san and learn not only the business but also manage a company as a good leader and have hospitality to others. In the future, I would like to expand into global markets for my father's company.

What is your goal for this internship: 
A) To be able to meet with customers by myself, have creative suggestions and create new projects that will become successful. I would like to gain new knowledge of textiles and experience through this internship.

What is your goal in 3 years:
 A) I would like to manage projects in various business fields.Therefore, I want to be a key person in the textile industry within three years. ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー
 Where are you from:
愛媛県今治市出身です。今治はタオルの生産で有名な街です。

Why do you want to work at KNY
父がタオル工場を経営している影響で、テキスタイルや生地に興味があり、ＮＹでアメリカのマーケットの適正な生地の価格を調査したい、いろんな業務に携わりたいと思いインターンを決めました。また、かつさんに憧れ、ビジネスだけでなく、会社の雰囲気作りやおもてなしなども学びたいと思いました。将来はタオルや生地を世界のマーケットに売りたいと思っています。

What is your goal for internship: 
1人で、ミーティングに行き、クリエイティブな提案や的確な対応ができるようになること。テキスタイルにおける知識と実務的なミーティングやプレゼンテーションを通して、経験を積みたい。

What is your goal in 3 years: 
多くの知識と経験を積みいろんな分野ののプロジェクトを回すこと。将来の繊維産業においてキーパーソンと言われる人になること。

 

KNY Alumni Night

Katsu Academy Alumni Night

We invited our alumni from Katsu Academy on May 6 and spent a wonderful night!
Well, we have decided to have the night just a week before and could not contact many alumni,
however we got more than 15 alumni and our current staffs. 

Some people were interned with us over 20 years ago. Also, we have received video messages and e-mails from alumni who could not attend the night form all over the world. 
We will plan to have another one shortly.  Stay tune!

Katsu New Yorkにて、インターンをしてくださった方々をお招きしました！
およそ１週間前にどこからか「卒業生の集い」の話が持ち上がり、突然の決行にも関わらず、１５人以上の卒業生が参加してくれました。中には２０年前にKNYにてインターンシップ（研修）をされた方や、働かれて方、懐かしいメンバーが参加してくれました。また、日本や遠方に在住で、今回参加が出来なかった方々も、E-メールや、ビデオメーッセージを送って下さいました。

KNYが27年間存続出来ている大きな理由に、これまでの皆様の
功績が大きく関わっている事を改めて感じました。
最後に、今回、連絡が出来なかったり、連絡先が分からなかった卒業生の方々がたくさんおられますが、次回のAlnmni Nightの為に、是非、ご一報をお願いします。
